This Shaker Elders Chest is modeled after a Shaker “cupboard and case of drawers” built in the Mt. Lebanon Shaker community in 1817. The traditional chest of drawers features seven generous, flush-mounted drawers and two solid-panel doors that have a mortise and tenoned frame with our signature walnut square peg joinery, there is an adjustable shelf behind each door. A true handcrafted Shaker reproduction that will last for generations to come.
Crafted of North American hardwood chosen for figure and color; tiger maple and other specialty woods can be quoted. Please inquire about pricing for any of these Shaker Elders Chest options.
The Shaker Elders Chest serves beautifully on its own or as a companion to any of our horizontal dresser or vertical dressers. Add our Side Chests or Night Tables to create an inviting, cohesive bedroom.
